Child Find is the largest and oldest missing children's network in the country. Our purpose is to assist in locating missing and exploited children to reunite them with their lawful parent or guardian. We are a non-profit agency, and all our services are free. Each provincial office is incorporated as an independent charitable entity. Through child safety programs, public speaking, child fingerprinting clinics, publication of pictures of missing children and the recognition of Missing Children's Day, we work to prevent future abduction and exploitation of children.

Each year, during the month of May, Child Find participates in the Green Ribbon Campaign. The concept of the Green Ribbon originated at a secondary school in Ontario following the tragic abduction and murder of a student. The staff and students of the school subsequently offered the Green Ribbon of Hope to be used exclusively by Child Find Canada. The green ribbon is a symbol of hope for the safe return of missing children, and as an expression of our thoughts for the families and friends of missing children.

The "All About Me I.D." Program is an education and prevention initiative which helps parents document basic identifying information about their children. Hundreds of these I.D. clinics are held annually across Canada.

Each province has at least one case manager, who works as a liaison between the families and police, to bring a quick recovery of all missing children. All programs are run by volunteers and maintained through fundraising, grants and private donations.
