Our Mandate Child Find Nova Scotia is a volunteer, charitable organization dedicated to reducing the incidence of missing and exploited children. We assist in the location and recovery of missing and exploited children, whether stranger abduction, parental abduction or runaway, and help to reunite them with the lawful parent/guardian. We increase public awareness of the problem of missing and exploited children in Canada. We help to teach children, parents, educators, and communities ways to prevent crimes against children. We provide assistance and support to families affected by the trauma of a missing child, and refer parents to professional services where applicable. Our goal is to no longer be needed. We believe that a missing child is everyone's responsibility. |
