A Volunteer Has The Right To:
- Be properly interviewed, selected and provided with a job description
- A position that is worthwhile and challenging, that will promote learning and growth
- Information on the organization's structures, insurance and funding
- Expect his/her tasks to be planned
- Orientation, initial and on-going training
- Receive support from a designated supervisor
- Be treated as a non-paid staff member and given appropriate recognition
- Be kept informed on what is happening in the organization
- Be trusted with necessary confidential information
- Out of pocket reimbursements whenever possible
