If Your Child Goes Missing

If you believe your child to be missing, act immediately. If your child is missing from home, search your home and property thoroughly. Check with your neighbours and your child's friends. If you still cannot find your child, call the police immediately.

If your child disappears when you are away from home i.e. a shopping mall, notify a clerk and mall security and ask for assistance. Call the police immediately.

When you call the police try to stay calm. Identify yourself; explain where you are and what has happened. Give them your child's name and a description. Tell them when you noticed the disappearance and when you last saw your child. Describe to the best of your ability what your child was wearing. After you have reported your child missing to the police, listen to their instructions and answer their questions carefully.
